With the changing leaves and the crisp air we enter autumn and the end of the fall semester. The SBA invites all students to attend our weekly meetings. Our meetings are open and allow for you, the students, to come voice any concerns or opinions. The role of the SBA is to be the voice of the students and to work with the UNC law administration to make Carolina Law a better environment for all. I want to assure you that as SBA President, I am taking every step necessary to address the current needs and matters that are affecting us.
This newsletter contains information about some of the big events sponsored by the SBA that will be going on in the next few weeks. Please look through and read about the events that interest you. To see what else has been going on with the SBA, be sure to check the website (http://studentorgs.law.unc.edu/sba/).
As always, if you ever have any questions about the SBA or ideas to improve the experience here at UNC Law, feel free to let me or any of the SBA representatives know. Good luck to all of you in the remainder of this semester.

SBA Student Organization of the Month
The Student Bar Association is sponsoring a
monthly competition to recognize outstanding student organizations at
Carolina Law. The Student Organization of the Month Award is aimed at
recognizing the hard work and contributions of student organizations at
the law school. Whether through exceptional pro bono projects, interesting
events, successful meetings, increased membership, or any other unique
programming; these organizations are making a meaningful difference in the
Carolina community. All you have to do to nominate a student organization for
this award is write a short paragraph of no more than 500 words on
why the organization should win. The winning organization will be recognized on
our Student Bar Association website and social media outlets, as well as
receive bulletin board space on the SBA board by the student lockers to
advertise about their organization. The application can be found online
at http://studentorgs.law.unc.edu/sba/studentorgs/ Look for information on the SBA website or class pages on Facebook for the deadline for submitting a nomination each month.
