The UNC Law Student Animal Legal Defense Fund (SALDF) is a student organization designed to provide students, faculty, and staff with the opportunity to learn about the growing field of animal law and to advocate for animal interests in a legal setting. We seek to promote awareness—among both members and nonmembers—of current legal issues involving animals and to engage in these issues through various events.
The UNC Law Student Animal Legal Defense Fund is holding their fifth annual Animal Law Symposium on Saturday, April 9, 2016, featuring panel discussions on animal cruelty, the practice of animal law, farm animal policy and environmental impacts, and legislative updates.
