How to Submit

Thank you for your interest in contributing to The Balance Sheet. To circulate your ideas, please follow the following steps:

  1. Send your piece, attached as a Word document, to the Editorial Board at ncbank@unc.edu, including: author's full name, author's address, author's phone number, author's affiliation, author's email address, title of NCBI article or note to which the submission applies (if appropriate), and a warranty that the submission is the author's original work;
  2. A publication decision will then be made by the Editorial Board;
  3. Submissions accepted for publication will then receive expedited editing by our Editorial Board. The submission will be edited and returned to the author for approval of formatting and other necessary changes; and
  4. After approval by author, submissions will be published to The Balance Sheet in Adobe PDF file format and paginated and formatted like the printed volume of the NCBI. Depending on editorial resources, submissions will be published within a few weeks of original submission.

*Submissions appearing on The Balance Sheet are permanently published on the website as Adobe PDF files under "Recent Articles" or "Archived Articles."
