The date for this year's annual Auction & Benefit at Top of the Hill is yet to be decided. Stay tuned for more details!
Carolina Public Interest Law Organization's annual Auction & Benefit at Top of the Hill last year, on January 26, 2017 was a great success! Thanks to all of our generous bidders we were able to raise a lot of money. All of the proceeds from the event went directly to fund UNC law students accepting full-time, unpaid public interest law positions for the summer. The CPILO board would like to thank Professor Myers for his annual outstanding job as our auctioneer, and his continued participation each year; all of our volunteers who helped to make the night run smoothly; all of the students who solicited and businesses and individuals who made donations; and all of the students, professors, and alumni who came out to celebrate public interest and bid on our items.
Last year's auction was both a live and silent auction, giving students a chance to bid on unique experiences with their professors: from shooting range trips, dinner at a professor's home, to live plays, and much more! The event also aimed to support local small businesses which graciously donated many of the auction items. UNC sports memorabilia, vacation homes, shopping parties, wine tastings, art, ski passes and more items and services are up for auction. Carolina Law's very own Dean Myers was, once again, the auctioneer and Will Graebe was the emcee.
It was a truly fun night, and we look forward to seeing both new and return attendees at our next auction!
