CIPLA Logo Design Contest
CIPLA is looking for a new logo, and you could be the one to design it! CIPLA is looking for any designs that include the organization's full name OR just CIPLA and have an appearance suggestive of intellectual property. Other than that, the design is completely up to you.
While individuals with experience in multimedia and design may be the most well-equipped to excel, no prior experience is necessary to enter the contest. The winner will receive CIPLA apparel featuring your logo design and will be honored on our website. Please send all entries and questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Direct Brands, Inc. (New York, NY)
Interview dates: February 14 & 15
Summer Internship in General Corporate/Media/ Entertainment/Intellectual Property Law
How to Apply
Bid (submit your cover letter and resume) through Symplicity Session: 2013 Spring OCI – Feb 18-22. The deadline to bid is Thursday, January 31 (11:58 p.m.)
Please note that the interviews for Direct Brands will take place at the Law School on February 14 and 15.
Direct Brands (formerly Bertelsmann Direct North America) will be hiring 1 or 2 first or second-year law students for its Legal & Business Affairs Department this summer in NYC. Direct Brands is a direct-to-the-consumer company that sells DVDs, Blu-ray and books through its twenty-plus consumer brands. Iconic company brands include Columbia House, Literary Guild, and Doubleday Book Club.
The internships will provide exposure to a range of entertainment law and business activities, including general corporate, contracts, intellectual property, litigation, ethics and compliance practice, employment law, regulatory matters and government affairs, and new business development. Direct Brands sources product from all major movie studios and book publishers under license agreements and works closely with these companies on a daily basis. Interns will have the opportunity to meet informally with outside counsel in diverse areas of practice from a number of major national law firms that provide legal services to Direct Brands – typically 25-30 “best in field” attorneys from different firms – and also to meet executives from major movie studios and book publishers.
Internships are non-paid; duration 8 weeks (approximately mid-June through July). The exact dates remain to be set. Interns will need to find their own housing in New York City. This is a great opportunity to be exposed to a wide range of legal issues and to make contact with a number of top national business/entertainment/media lawyers.
The Executive Vice President of Legal & Business Affairs, Clif Knight, is a Carolina Law alum. He is also Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer for the company.
